Bruxism is the medical term for grinding, gnashing or clenching your teeth.
Some people with bruxism unconsciously grind their teeth during the day, often when they feel anxious or tense.
The grinding or clenching that occurs at night, is called sleep bruxism.

Becouse grinding is especially common during sleep, most people don't know that they grind their teeth.
Headache or sore jaw are symptoms of tooth grinding.
Many times people learn that they grind their teeth by their partner that hears the grinding at night.

You can use a tooth grinding night guard, and you can train yourself not to clench or grind your teeth.
